Abstract The trade dispute between China and the United States (US) since 2018 global COVID-19 pandemic 2020 has significantly impacted China’s economic development. As energy sources heavily depend on imports, its viability is becoming more risky. This study proposes a novel conceptual framework, involving macroeconomic, industrial geopolitical factors, to evaluate security as major player in dispute. also provides comprehensive strategy for policymakers make better decisions reforming renewable patterns guarantee achieve advantages. PESTEL (political, economic, social, technical, environmental legislative) SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities threats) analytical methods are applied factors attributes of development current background. China-US bipartite game reciprocity model QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) analysis conducted assess which policy suitable deal with To enhance security, should diversify supply chain, develop new supply, advance shale gas technology, popularise cleaner power-generation plants, increase nuclear-energy safety, introduce energy-conservation measures, promote alternative-energy vehicles, engage international diplomacy, rebuild transaction settlement systems.
